Coaching Career

As a player Mr Ilic played around 500 matches for one of the bigest teams in Yugoslavian league FC Vojvodina
• 1986 - He stopped playing football and started working as a football coach in the same club, FC "Vojvodina". He had at first worked with the youths.
• 1992-1994 - He became thc assistant coach in FC "Vojvodina".
• 1994-1995 - He started working as a coach in a second division club - FC "Becej".They had won the league and were promoted to the Premier division. At the same time, they had reached the semi-finals in the Yugoslav Cup.
• 1995-199G – Mr Ilic coached FC "Novi Sad". While coaching this club, he had also reached tlie semi-finals of the Yugoslav Cup.
• 1996-1997 - Director of the Youth sector for the Malta Football Association.
• 1997-2001 - Head -Manager of the Malta Football .association National Team. Within that period, they played a number of qualifying games for the European Championship held in Belgium and Thc Netherlands, as well as the qualifcing games for the World Championship in Japan and Korea. During that period, they played a number of very good games against famous European National Teams such as Denmark /away/ (1-2); Croatia /away/ (1-2); Czech Republic /home/ (0-0) (this result was the reason why the Czech Republic did not qualify for the World Chunpionship Competition); F'ngland /home/ (1-2); Poland /home/ (0-1); Bosnia /home/ (2-1); Ireland /home/ (2-3); Azrerbaijan /home/ (3-0)...
By leading the Maltese Nation Team to a total of 41 international games, he is honoured to have been the longcst-serving national coach in the 100-year history of tlie MIaltese Football .A ssociation.

• 2003 - Head coach of FC "Vojvodina" from Novi Sad (Premier Division).
